Conditions
There are certain conditions that apply to everyone. In addition, you and your employer have to meet the following conditions:
- You have an employment contract with an employer or research institution in the Netherlands. This employer is a recognised sponsor by the IND. Recognised employers are listed in the Public Register of Recognised Sponsors.
- You are going to earn sufficient income.
- The agreed wage is in accordance with market conditions.

Work experience
In the last 3 years, you must have worked at least 1,560 hours. This is how many hours you would have worked in 1 year if you were working 30 hours per week.
This work must have been at National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill type/level 0, A, or B.
To calculate your hours:
- Count hours worked in part-time and full-time jobs.
- The hours must be in 1 occupation, but they can be with different employers.
- You must have been paid for these hours. Volunteering or unpaid internships don’t count.
- Don’t count hours when you were self-employed.
- These working hours can be inside or outside Canada.
- The hours must have been accumulated over a period of at least 12 months.
Education
You must have 1 of the following:
- A Canadian secondary (high school) or post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree from a recognized institution
Language testing
You must take one of the language tests we approve. The test shows you can communicate in English or French well enough to live and work.
The skilled people are assessed on the basis of AGE, OCCUPATION and language like ENGLISH. The applicant may also apply by giving the proof of their relative who is the native in the country, by issuing their proof ids and status. The skilled applicant also requires medicinal checks before the permanent residential visa is not approved. The skilled applicants have the legacy for permanent resident for specified no. of years and then can be a citizen of that country.
